Folding handheld chess set, in boxwood and acacia

 

A paperback-sized, inlaid wooden chessboard, with internal magnets for easy travel gaming.

 

 

On the outside, ¾ inch squares of boxwood & acacia wood are set into solid folding blocks of acacia. Beneath the inlay, steel plates make up a magnetized playing field, making it easy to play games in moving or cramped locations.

 

 

The inside is lined with green felt and shaped foam, making a compartment for each piece to fit comfortably in with no rattling or damage.The set is held closed with two magnets in the lid, keeping it closed even in a back pack or suitcase.
